One of the many consequences of social evolution that have emerged in recent decades is the creation of "Sustainable Development Concept", understood as a commitment to reach a balance between the use of natural resources and the preservation of the natural environment.

The “water resource” is probably one of the most seriously affected by this concept, and its application, combined with a commitment to balance is specified in a cycle of three stages. Supply, Purification and Reuse and Reallocation to the receptor.

Currently there are technologies and knowledge available that guarantee a water product that is suitable for the demands of each of the above three stages.
